Book Hangovers

I put down the bottle and picked up a book. Reading saved my life! I went from booze hangovers to book hangovers and I am the happiest I've ever been!

Daughter of Smoke & Bone Review

Daughter of Smoke & Bone - Laini Taylor

"Give me fuel, Give me Fire, Give me that which I desire"~ METALLICA

I can not believe it has taken me this long to read this book. BUT...Finally I have only to have.....

ENJOYED it tremendously and have it added to my list of favorites!!!

I found myself reading this book very slowly, notable towards the end, to savor each and every word. Laini Taylor's writing is mesmerizing. Especially when she wrote of love and hope, she had me in a trance, being seduced by the rhythm of her words. It is definitely my kind of Tune!!

With memorable characters and radiant imagery this story comes alive, unveiling a very Romeo and Juliet-ish kind of tale.

~Two worlds, sworn enemies and at a never

ending war with each other.
~Two strangers, forbidden to be together

and hoping for peace among their worlds.

A book I highly recommend to all those who can handle a story that is captivating and thrilling, filled with desire and betrayal, passion and intrigue!
Looking forward to book 2, Days of Blood & Starlight, which is sitting in my bookcase. A very huge PLUS for waiting this long to read this series, NOT having to wait for book 2's release :)

The Wonderful, talented Mr. Neil Gaiman reading Dr. Seuss's Green Eggs and Ham ♥♥♥

I can listen to him read anything!!!

The Orphan and The Thief by M.L. Legette

The Orphan and the Thief - M.L. LeGette

Wow! Now this is my kind of story! When I go searching for a book down the aisles of a bookstore or library, this is the type of story I hope to find. With lovable and odd characters and an adventurous story-line, this tale has all the qualifications for being an extraordinary classic.
Come journey along side Toad, a thief, and Melena, an orphan, their sidekicks Hazel the tiny spit fire dragon and Ol' Joe, a cheeky talking beer mug. Trust me, it's an enchanting ride, facing magical and thrilling obstacles that will bring you to a surprising conclusion.

Creative, Crafty and Captivating! M.L. Legette's whimsical writing has topped my list to become one of my favorite story-tellers. I look forward to reading more of her work and hopeful a sequel to the book ♥

The wait is finally over.......or has it only just begun?

Red Rising - Pierce Brown

It's hard to believe that this day has finally come.
It feels like I waited forever to read this book and finally write my feelings about it. While I was anticipating the release of the book I could not help but read the reviews on it, which just added fuel to my anticipation.

Everything said about this book is true! It is phenomenal, brilliant and bold. This book just dominates all other dystopian's. It kick all of their butts. RIGHT IN THE ARSE!
So I'll make this quick and not go into what the book is all about. You can read the summary/blurb about the book or you can read any of the following reviews above and below this one. I'm simply here to let y'all know that:
YOU GOT TO GO AND GET THIS BOOK!! READ IT!!!

This book will make you feel emotions you never thought you could possible feel. For instance, this book brought me to tears and brought the most outrageous crying sounds out of me. I sounded barbaric!!
Once that subsided the rage came.

This book was Intense. Nail biting, edge of the seat, what the fuck is going to happen, INTENSE!!! This book deserves the hype it's getting and Pierce Brown deserve a reward for writing such an extremely fierce story. I can not wait to read more about the heroic Darrow, to see how much more awesome he get the older he becomes.

But here we are again. Playing the waiting game, anticipating the release for Red Rising's second installment. UUUGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

It is a vicious cycle that we must succumb to when we are introduced to a new series. A pain that I will suffer continuously!
Oh well! Til next time! Go read this book! and HAPPY READING Y'ALL!

Red Rising - Pierce Brown

I can't wait for tomorrow!

I'll finally get to read my most anticipated 2014

book release,

RED RISING

by Pierce Brown

WOOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!

Reading progress update: I've read 67 out of 486 pages.

The Golem and the Jinni - Helene Wecker

I am in love with everything about this book so far.

It has absolutely consumed me and I am absorbing every word of it.

It's such a fascinating tale of two completely different creatures on a journey to find themselves.

It is extremely captivating!

HOLY BLOSSOM, BUBBLES, and BUTTERCUP BATMAN!!!!!!

I have now watched the New Powerpuff Girls 11 times since I recorded it for my 3 year old daughter last night. She literally passed out from watching it 7 times last night, back to back, 3 hours of PPG's!!! This morning she's going on her 4th viewing, all while clinging onto her Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup dolls.

At least it gives me a little break from

First Impressions

The Golem and the Jinni - Helene Wecker

This book is definitely living up to all those great reviews it's getting.

I'm only a few pages into the book and I can not put it down.

It has captivated me just like the cover did when I first saw it.

Very impressed so far!
